When to Call Heritage For Furnace Repairs
- No Heat Blowing: No hot air may mean you need to change the air filter. If replacing the filter doesn’t fix the problem, you should call a professional to inspect your furnace.
- Drastic Temperature Changes: If you suddenly feel cold air when the furnace is running, you should turn off the heat, wait five minutes, and then turn it back on at 4-5 degrees higher than the current set temperature. If this doesn’t work, try changing the thermostat batteries. If you still get sudden bursts of cold air from your furnace, call for repairs.
- System Won’t Turn On: When your furnace won’t turn on, that is usually an issue with your pilot light. Your pilot light should be lit all the time, so you should reset the furnace if it ever goes out. If the pilot light doesn’t relight when you reset the furnace, call Heritage for help.
