Electric Vehicle Charging Stations For Residential Homes
By 2030, the Whitehouse plans to have electric vehicles (EVs) account for 50% of all car sales. With car manufacturers driving production to meet this demand, electric vehicles are quickly becoming a common sight on the road.
While the technology to rapidly charge at designated power stations exists, slower overnight charging at home still makes the most sense for day to day use. That’s why many of our customers have asked us about installing an EV charging station in their home.

Can I Install A Charging Station Myself?
Most ESVS installs require a dedicated circuit of at least 20 amps, located near the area you want to provide power to, such as a garage. Most electric panels will need to have a circuit added by a licensed electrician in order to meet this requirement. In some instances, your main electric panel or subpanel may need to be upgraded to meet the required amperage. For your safety and to avoid damage to your panel, this should only be performed by a licensed electrician.
